I recently completed my nursing community service and have a strong interest in neonatal care, women’s health, and community support. My background in healthcare, long-term retail work, and independent responsibilities such as pet and house sitting reflects my dedication, trustworthiness, and people-focused approach.
Animal care has always been a natural part of my life. Since the age of 7, I have grown up caring for a variety of animals, including dogs, chickens, ducks, and fish, which helped develop my love for animals and understanding of their different needs and personalities. I currently own a Great Dane and also have experience caring for smaller breeds, including a Yorkie puppy, giving me confidence with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and care requirements.
In addition, I have over 7 years of pet and house sitting experience, caring for between 1 and 4 dogs at a time for periods ranging from a few days to 4 weeks. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to maintaining pets’ routines so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. My background in nursing and customer service has further strengthened my responsibility, patience, communication skills, and ability to remain calm and organised in different situations.
I am 24 years old. I studied at the University of Pretoria in Nursing Science. I recently completed my nursing community service and am currently awaiting my SANC registration. I am currently studying to be a certified lactation consultant through SACLC, and would like to spend time study. Alongside healthcare experience, I’ve worked in retail customer service for five years and have over seven years of pet and house sitting experience. I’m responsible, caring, reliable, adaptable, calm, people-focused, and comfortable working independently.
I enjoy working with both people and animals, and I’m looking for a role where I can continue learning while providing dependable care and support. My hobbies are in crocheting, knitting, sewing, hiking and cycling. My career goals are to be a ward sister specializing in wound care, and midwifery. While I expand my knowledge based I would enjoy making a positive impact in the lives of pets that make a difference in ours.
